Overview:

  • On board every ship there needs to be live music to back up the entertainers, production shows, daily activities and dance sets and the musicians are on board to provide this service. Size of the ensemble ranges from a three piece rhythm section with singer to a full size big band. Most individual musicians are asked to send a demo tape to the company and are hired through music contractors while self-contained bands use a talent agent.
  • Reports directly to cruise director.

Requirements:

  • Personal or taped auditions are required.
  • Professional musicians with jazz improvisation and big band experience a must.

Salary Range & Contract Length:

  • $1,600-2,150 monthly.
  • 4-6 months.
