Overview:

  • Works closely with the crew, inspects crew work, discipline, supervises navigation bridge when captain is not on duty or unavailable.
  • Reports directly to the Captain.

Requirements:

  • Captain's required licenses preferable and all applicable certifications by a recognized maritime government body, USCG registered.
  • Extensive experience with minimum three to five years in subordinate positions on board ships.
  • Solid experience in all navigational electronic and computerized equipment.
  • Graduate of accredited maritime training school or facility.

Salary Range

  • Passenger vessels:$3,750-4,200 per month.
  • All other vessels: $80,000 per year.

Contract Length:

  • Passenger vessels: 3-4 months on/4-6 weeks off.
  • Other vessels: 3-5 months on/4-6 weeks off.
